Iran-Interlink, a VEVAK / MOIS entity at one glance
Massoud Khodabandeh and Anne Singleton run Iran-Interlink for VEVAK / MOIS
Iran-Interlink is the most active of dozens of websites affiliated to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, provided in Farsi and English, in the demonizing campaign against the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK). Massoud Khodabandeh, an Iranian national, and his British wife by the name of Anne Singleton, both stationed in the UK, are the only directors of this website.
The British Parliamentary Committee for a Free Iran published a report on Massoud Khodabandeh saying:
“According to a witness statement filed with a British Court in 2003 by his own brother Massoud Khodabandeh is an agent of the Ministry of Intelligence who operates in Britain. Massoud Khodabandeh was born in Tehran in 1956 and left Iran for Britain in 1974. In 1981 he joined the Muslim Iranian Students Society, an organization that was supportive of the PMOI / MEK. In 1986, at his own request, he travelled to PMOI / MEK camps on the Iran-Iraq border. However, during the Gulf War in 1990 he wrote to the PMOI / MEK and admitted taking drugs and saying he had lost his motivation to continue opposing the regime.”
The PMOI / MEK provided the expenses for his trip to Europe, where he later married Anne Singleton.
“Singleton used to work for a short period in the late 1980s with the London branch of the Muslim Iranian Students Society (MISS) - supporters of the PMOI / MEK. After a while, the MISS realized that she is not a morally decent person and dismissed her.”
Massoud Khodabandeh and Anne Singleton are denigrated amongst the Iranian diaspora for their deep relations with the Iranian regime’s VEVAK / MOIS. Even other secret VEVAK / MOIS agents hired against the PMOI / MEK have time and again publicly distanced themselves from Iran-Interlink and Khodabandeh that provide links to their websites.
Under the dictatorship of former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Massoud Khodabandeh and Anne Singleton paid numerous visits to Iraq and took part in press conferences and propaganda campaigns organized by the VEVAK / MOIS to legitimize the previous attacks and carnages by Maliki’s forces in Camp Ashraf, and also pave the path for future attacks. Iraqi democratic organizations and groups called for the arrest of Massoud Khodabandeh as an individual working for the VEVAK / MOIS and terrorist Quds Force in Iraq.
Iran-Interlink continuously publishes books and pamphlets written by this couple each time after they travel to Iraq. These publications are always full of baseless lies.
Considering the Iranian regime’s characteristics of fundamentalism and gross human rights violations, and the fact that its Minister of Intelligence has openly admitted to hiring former PMOI / MEK elements to be used against them, there is no need to explain where Iran-Interlink gets its identity from. The fact that an Iranian website is completely focused on the credible opposition organization of this regime, and the directors of this website have voluntarily placed all their time to stage expensive conferences and propaganda campaigns against the PMOI / MEK, it is quite obvious from which security and spying agency they are supported. The brother of Massoud Khodabandeh, by the name of Ibrahim, himself a former PMOI / MEK member, is currently in Iran and continuing his stigmatization campaign against the PMOI / MEK. He is hired by the Nejat Society, a known VEVAK / MOIS branch.
This couple, professionally hired by the VEVAK / MOIS to spy on the Iranian opposition in Europe and tarnish the image of the PMOI / MEK, introduce themselves with different masks such as Directors of Middle East Strategy Consultants amongst Western circles. According to the information provided by Mr. Tahar Boumedra, former head of the human rights office in the United Nations branch in Iraq, he met Massoud Khodabandeh as an interpreter for the Iranian Embassy in Baghdad.
Iran Probe has gathered on this page some of the publicly available information about Iran-Interlink, Massoud Khodabandeh and Anne Singleton to provide more insight over their true identities.
