TEHRAN- Iran regime hanged four men in public in different cities, state-run media reported Thursday.  Two men, identified only by their first names as Mojtaba and Mohammad-Hossein, were hanged in public Wednesday in the southern city of Jahorm, Iran daily reported.

The United States on Wednesday imposed sanctions on an Iranian general from the elite Qods force. The U.S. Treasury Department, which made the announcement, named the general as Ahmed Foruzandeh (Ahmad Forouzandeh), who it said "leads terrorist operations" against U.S. forces in Iraq and directed assassinations of Iraqi figures, Reuters reported.

The Qods Force of the Iran regime's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) plans to create new special units to counter the Iraqi Awakening Councils, Al-Sharqiya TV, the Iraqi TV network revealed.
"IRGC command has formed special units and has deployed new commanders in order to carry out extensive operations inside Iraq," Al-Sharqiya quoted a senior Iraqi security official on Friday.
